It is best to confront your fears instead of letting them harbour into bigger things. Usually, when in its initial stages, fear is nothing but a figment of your imagination. For example, if you are scared of flying, you need to try flying more often. Whether it is your fear of heights that prevents you from flying or enjoying a flight, or a fear of nausea when the plane takes off and lands, action is the key to solving all of these dilemmas. For example, if you are scared that you will throw up when the flight takes off, just pop in a medicine that prevents nausea. This will prevent the sensation of nausea when the aircraft takes off and lands. It will also help overcome fear of flying because you will realise that nothing happened even though you flew!

Taking yet another example if you are scared of heights when flying, try taking the aisle seat instead of the window seat. This way, you do not have to look down and see the dizzying heights at which you are flying. You could also keep yourself busy during the flight by reading a nice book. There are many ways to overcome fear of flying and it is upto you, as an individual, to confront your fears. Most people make the mistake of letting their fears get the better of reality. When reality fades and your fears become real, it is time to overcome fear of flying.
